This week's "Who's Who?" features Brenden Kuesel, 20, of Victor, IA. We invite you to read our candid interview with the young man below and please continue to check back for our next edition of “Who's Who?".

School, Major & Career Goals/Future Plans
I attend University of Iowa and am studying Accounting and Finance.

How long have you been showing lambs? How did you get started?
I have been in and around the showring for the past 15 years. I got started showing when my Aunt (Jennifer Dale) and Uncle (Brad Dale) would throw me in the truck and drag me along with them. I grew up wanting to show my whole life and couldn't wait until they would turn me loose in the ring.

What is your daily routine with your show lambs?
We work the lambs early every morning, and then they individually get an excersise workout before they get fed.

Do you have any superstitions or routines before a show?
My biggest thing is I try not to get nervous before going in. I feel that if I stay calm and and don't get worked up I will perform better in the ring.

How did it feel when the judge selected you as Grand Champion at the 2011 NAILE?
The feeling was one thats pretty tough to explain. I was in shock because I was just planning on having a fun weekend in Louisville not worried about where I placed. It didnt quite hit me that I won until the day after and it was almost sureal. It was something that my family and I had always wanted to achieve.

What is one of your most memorable showing experiences?
Definitly winning the NAILE was one of them. But, to me one that I personally won't ever forget was being selected 2007 Iowa State Fair Grand Champion 4-H Market Lamb. It's the one show that my family and I work for all summer long, and finally accomplishing it in 2007 was like a dream come true.

What is a piece of advice you would give to a younger showman?
Some advise to younger showman would be to get to know the people you're showing against. You may meet some kids and make friendships that will last a life time and thats definitly an important part of it all. Also listen to the people helping you, because most of the time whether we like it or not they're right!

Who helps you the most with your show lamb project?
I have been very fortunate to have two people helping me the whole way with my showing career. Brad and Jerry Dale have both done so much for not only me, but my brothers and sister too. It doesn't matter what project, or what time of day, they're always there helping out and encouraging me to get better. They developed my showmanship skills and taught me everything I know. I couldn't of asked for two better people to guide me through my career in which we have had great success as a family.

What is your favorite band? Rap artist Little Wayne

What famous person would you most like to meet? Without a doubt Michael Jordan

What is your favorite food, candy, or drink? Pagliais pizza and Mountain Dew

What is your favorite movie? Dumb and Dumber

What is your favorite sports team? Iowa Hawkeyes and the New York Yankees

Do you have any hobbies? I love to play basketball, hang out with my friends, and attend Iowa Hawkeye football games.

Thank you Brenden and best of luck in the future!
